Pressurized enclosure systems (Ex p)

Up-to-date implementation of the explosion protection pressurized enclosure enables to es MSR-technology in explosive areas.
The application of verified devices in modern production facilities such as control components, machine components, measuremnet and analysis technology etc. enable real-time and cost-effective project planning in production systems.

In many production facilities occur explosive gas or dust atmospheres were standard devices are not suitable. In most cases special Ex- hardware must be used, followed with high acquisition and life time costs.

The pressurized enclosure technology represents in most causes an interesting alternative to use verified "Non Ex- " systems even in hazardous areas.

Pressurized enclosure systems (Ex p): Concept

The use of pressurized enclosures provides the operation of non Explosion protected devices in hazardous areas of Zone 1, 21, 2 and 22. The protection type pressurization is based on the principle of maintaining a constant pressure using air or a protective gas to prevent an explosive mixture forming near the apparatus inside the pressurized enclosure.

This is achieved by placing and operating the non Ex- devices inside of an Ex p- housing. This housing has a small but constant overpressure of air or protective gas and prevents the infiltration of combustible gases or dusts.
